Course Description:
The course is a continuation of Contact Lenses I, with an increased attention to lens selection and design. Fitting philosophies of soft and gas permeable contact lenses are put into practice, and follow-up care is stressed. Insertion, removal, and diagnostic skills are increased.

Student Learning Outcomes:
Students will be able to:

Perform a pre-fitting exam to determine if the patient is a good candidate for contact lenses.
Instruct insertion, re-centering, removal and care of contact lenses.
Determine the advantages and disadvantages of soft and gas permeable lenses for the correction of various ametropias.
Determine the correct fitting philosophies of soft and gas permeable lenses.
Perform record keeping and management functions.
