Course Description:
This course is designed for students in the maintenance technology program to be exposed to basic industrial electrical concepts. Topics include E/I drawings, motor controls, machine bending, hydraulic and pneumatic controls, motor operated valves, basic process control elements, instrument calibration, loop checks and tuning.

Students will be able to:

Identify and demonstrate safe operations in electrical and instrumentation maintenance
Demonstrate knowledge of reading E/I drawings
Demonstrate and identify proper machine bending procedures
Demonstrate the identify instrument calibration procedures
Identify proper procedures for instrument loop checks and tuning
