CITC 1342 - Introduction to Artificial Intelligence

Course Description:
This course introduces students to artificial intelligence (AI). Students will learn about the history of AI, its types, and its impact on society. Emphasis will be placed on emergence of new, modern AI technologies and its ethical usage in education, business, and technology.

Student Learning Outcomes:

Understand and discuss the ethical usages of artificial intelligence and emerging technologies.
Discuss artificial intelligence’s impact on society.
Understand the history of artificial intelligence, generative pre-trained transformer models, and the transformer architecture.
Understand unsupervised learning, supervised learning, and reinforcement learning processes
Demonstrate using supervised learning models against a data-set.
