Course Description: The goal of the course is to cover the basic programming and operation of industrial robots.
Student Learning Outcomes: Students will be able to demonstrate knowledge of:
- Basic Robot Operation
- Describe a robot and explain the advantages.
- Master and demonstrate the power up and shut down of a servo robot.
- Master the axes of a robot manipulator.
- Master and demonstrate using a teach pendant.
- Jog a servo robot and learn to adjust fast and slow jog speeds.
- Master to home a servo robot.
- Describe an end effector.
- Manually operate a robot gripper.
- Basic Robot Programming
- Describe the function and operation of a robot program.
- Describe and demonstrate how to teach points.
- Demonstrate process for editing teach points.
- Run and stop a servo program.
- Describe and operate a P-Move.
- Enter a program that uses a grasp and release command.
