Course Description:
In this subject area, the student will study the requirements for obtaining the General Radio Operators License and Ships Radar Endorsement. There will be an overview of electrical and electronic systems and components, as well as aircraft radar systems. Also covered in this area of study, will be resume writing, and interview techniques.

Describe Maritime Radio Law and operating practices

Define GMDSS and IMO
Define the term RADAR
Identify different types of radar and explain the operation of each

Prepare to take the FCC General Radio Operators License Exam and Ships Radar Endorsement Exam
