RESP 1211 - Clinical Laboratory Practice - 1

Prerequisites: Acceptance into the program.
Course Description:
Clinical Laboratory Practice - 1 provides hands on practice with peer partners and computer simulation programs to become competent in basic patient care modalities including: patient assessment, charting, oxygen therapy; aerosol and humidity therapy; delivery of medications to the airways. 12 hrs.Lab/wk.
Student Learning Outcomes:
Students will be able to:
- Obtain skill competency in a full patient assessment.
- Assemble and troubleshoot oxygen and aerosol therapy devices.
- Proper procedures in administrating aerosolized medications.
