RESP 2430 - Intensive Care Monitoring

Prerequisites: Successful advancement from the previous semester.

Course Description:
Intensive Care Monitoring involves the study of basic dysrhythmias and their effect on the body; hemodynamic monitoring assessment; CXR assessment and Advance Cardiac Life Support, ACLS. 5 hr. Lecture. 5 hr. Lab/wk.

Student Learning Outcomes:
Students will be able to:

Identify presented dysrhythmias.
Identify common causes for abnormal hemodynamic values.
Identify common CXR markings associating abnormalities with presented disease states.
Complete ACLS provider training.
