RESP 2430 - Intensive Care Monitoring
Credit hours: 4
Prerequisites: Successful advancement from the previous semester.
Course Description: Intensive Care Monitoring involves the study of basic dysrhythmias and their effect on the body; hemodynamic monitoring assessment; CXR assessment and Advance Cardiac Life Support, ACLS. 5 hr. Lecture. 5 hr. Lab/wk.
Student Learning Outcomes: Students will be able to:
- Identify presented dysrhythmias.
- Identify common causes for abnormal hemodynamic values.
- Identify common CXR markings associating abnormalities with presented disease states.
- Complete ACLS provider training.
