MECH 1195 - Internship in Mechatronics I



Credit hours: 1

Prerequisites: Two of MECH 1310 - Electrical Components , MECH 1320 - Mechanical Components & Electric Motors , MECH 1330 - Electro-Pneumatic and Hydraulic Control Circuits , or MECH 1340 - Digital Fundamentals and PLCs  

Course Description:
Students will engage in a project with an employer in an advanced manufacturing setting. As part of this project, students will be engaged in analysis and operation of mechatronic systems.

Student Learning Outcomes:
Upon completion of this course, students will demonstrate the ability to:

  1. Describe the interplay of components of a mechatronics system in the context of an advanced manufacturing system.
  2. Apply safety rules as dictated by the collaborating employer.
