EMCH 1406 - National Electric Code Interpretations I

Course Description:
National Electric Code Interpretations I as applied to industrial electrical/electromechanical applications.

Student Learning Outcomes:
Students will be able to:

  1. Calculate conductor sizes, voltage drop, box fill, overcurrent protection, and determine the type, required number, and location of outlets and switches.
  2. Install electrical circuits, conductors, and equipment meeting appropriate NEC requirements. 
  3. Demonstrate electrical safety per NFPA 70E, OSHA lock out and tag out procedure, and the proper use of PPE.  
  4. Demonstrate application and troubleshooting techniques as related to an industrial environment.
