EMCH 2401 - Hydraulics & Pneumatics I

Course Description:
Hydraulics and Pneumatics I as applied to industrial electrical/electromechanical applications.

Student Learning Outcomes:
Students will be able to:

  1. Make calculations of pressure and flow in power hydraulics and pneumatics by applying Charles’ Law, Boyles’ Law, Gay-Lussac’s Law, and Pascal’s Law.
  2. Describe operation of basic hydraulic and pneumatic circuits using schematic diagrams.
  3. Perform basic analytical troubleshooting of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  4. Demonstrate application and troubleshooting techniques as related to an industrial environment.
