METC 1330 - Communications in Engineering Technology
Credit hours: 3
Prerequisites: ENGL 1010 and ENST 1310
Course Description: Instruction includes research, writing lab reports, feasibility studies, project reports, product analysis, and operating procedures based on engineering and technical specifications. Students will integrate mathematical formulas/calculations, graphs, charts, and engineering drawings into cohesive and summative written/graphical products used in the various technology-driven industries.
Student Learning Outcomes: Students will be able to:
Competency 1: Develop a detailed outline for a laboratory report.
Competency 2: Incorporate a graph and a chart from a spreadsheet into a product analysis.
Competency 3: Write operating procedures for a specific sequence of operations.
