METC 1342 - HVAC II: Refrigeration Applications



Credit hours: 3

Prerequisites: METC 1340 - HVAC I: Intro to HVAC/Refrigeration  -HVAC I or permission of instructor or permission of instructor

Course Description:
Practical application of refrigeration fundamentals, installation practices, and troubleshooting abilities as they apply to the HVAC and refrigeration industry.  

Student Learning Outcomes:
Students will be able to:

 

Competency 1: Use proficiently the electrical meters, refrigerant gauges, recovery equipment and other trade specific tools.

Competency 2: Develop analytical skills needed to perform troubleshooting and repair HVAC and refrigeration systems.

Competency 3: Develop a methodology approach to troubleshooting HVAC and refrigeration equipment
