METC 2372 - Applied Production of Composites

Course Description:
Students will experience hands-on application of composite materials manufacturing processes in a laboratory environment. Students will employ various manufacturing methods and learn how to safely handle and store hazardous materials.

Students will be able to:

 

Competency 1: Demonstrate the safe use of tools and equipment to meet industry safety standards for composite material handling and forming.

Competency 2: Fabricate a tooling lay-up mandrel.

Competency 3: Fabricate a component using layup on a mandrel or another shaping form.
