ARCT 1120 - Introduction to Architecture

Course Description:
The introduction to Architecture is a concise study of history of the built environment from ancient periods to the present day.  Topics related to architectural form, space and order are also explored.  

Student Learning Outcomes:
Students will be able to:

  1. Employ critical thinking to gain an understanding of the creative process in Architecture. 
  2. Understand the role of the creative process and technical problem solving in Architecture.
  3. Communicate effectively employing verbal, written and visual means in a collaborative environment.
