Course Description:
Students will be introduced to technical illustration techniques, including representations of pictorial illustrations; including axonometric, oblique, and perspective projection. Illustrations will be created by use of manual techniques or software for use in catalogs, assembly sheets, publications and promotional materials. Various methods and techniques of shading and drawing media will be introduced.

Describe axonometric projection and drawing.
Create an isometric drawing given a multi-view drawing.
Measure along isometric axis.
Draw inclined and oblique surfaces in isometric.
Draw angles, ellipses and irregular curves in isometric.
Describe the advantages of oblique drawing.
Apply illustration methods using freehand techniques, digital illustration and solid modeling.
Demonstrate originality and creativity.
Exhibit the ability to develop a concept from thumbnail to finish.
Apply critical thinking to solve problems.
Create, gather and utilize reference material.
