Program Description:  The Phlebotomy Technology is designed for maximum student success.  The program goals are aligned with the mission and purpose of the institution.  Through coursework, PowerPoints, and field training tasks, the student will learn the day-to-day operations of being a phlebotomy technician.  The length of the program and the coursework are designed to allow for mastery completion of course objectives and prepare the student for the national certification exam.

Program Outcomes:  At the completion of the diploma in the Phlebotomy Technology program, the graduate will be able to:

  • Take the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) exam and be qualified to seat for the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) CPT exam
  • Upon passing the exam, become a Nationally Certified Phlebotomist
