Program Description:  The Electronics Technology program covers electronics, components, hardware, and troubleshooting and focuses on installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment.

Electronics students will be introduced to DC and AC circuits, including voltage, current resistance, capacitors, inductors, and transformers. Analog and Digital circuits including microprocessors will be explored in real life hands-on situations. Industrial applications dealing with pneumatics, power motors, AC drives, PLC’s, Instrumentation and robotics are offered for the student seeking a specialty in Industrial Instrumentation.

Program Outcomes:   The Electronics Technology program provides theory and “hands-on” training necessary for work in a variety of fields. It is the Mission of the Electronics Technology program to provide the student with the basic theories, principles, lab training, and real work experiences necessary to succeed as a professional in the electronics field.
