Program Description:

Training in Electronic Systems includes instruction in DC, AC, Analog and Digital electronics. Additional instructional areas include soldering and assembly techniques, computer operations, microprocessors, circuit fundamentals, basic radio circuits, troubleshooting of electronic circuits, and professional development courses which include resume and technical writing. At the completion of the Electronic Systems Repair Technician Diploma requirements the Electronic Systems student is encouraged (required) to pursue ETA (Electronics Technician Association) test as a CET-a (Certified Electronics Technician Associate). Upon successful completion of the CET-a, the student joins an elite group of individuals that have demonstrated their technical expertise. This Certification sets them apart from all other Electronics Technicians, regardless where they received their education; a TCAT, Community College, or even University. Our program also required performance based troubleshooting exams through CertTEC in all of the core competency areas of electronics (DC, AC, Analog, and Digital).

Program Outcomes:

At the completion of the diploma in Electronic Systems, graduates will be able to: Solder and repair various electronics equipment, read and interpret schematics and wiring diagrams, troubleshoot complex circuitry to identify and repair component level problems. Demonstrate knowledge of DC, AC, Analog, and Digital circuits, as well as be proficient in the use of multi-meters, oscilloscopes, function generators, and various other electronic test equipment.
