Course Description:
This course provides a thorough understanding of the skin, scalp, and hair- structure, disorders, and diseases as it relates to the Barbering field.

Identify and distinguish the three layers of hair.
Identify the factors to be observed and considered during a hair and scalp analysis.
Identify and distinguish the different structures of the hair root.
List the functions of the skin.
Describe common skin inflammations and infections.
Identify and describe common primary and secondary skin lesions.
Demonstrate a hair and scalp analysis.
