Course Description:
An introduction to the major laws designed to protect human health and the environment and the regulatory agencies that enforce those laws

Student Learning Outcomes:
Students will be able to:

Identify federal and state environmental regulatory agencies and their roles
Discuss technical, economic, and political difficulties in understanding and implementing environmental law
Describe administrative and enforcement tools available to regulatory agencies
Define torts and describe those common in the environmental area
Have a basic understanding of major federal, state and local environmental laws
