Course Description:
A review of federal, state and local emergency response guidelines and methods for protecting workers in hazardous waste operations and emergency response.

Students will be able to:

Understand the requirements of OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120 standards
Be able to develop and implement a Site Safety and Health Plan for hazardous waste operations and emergency response
Use published standards and criteria to recognize and evaluate hazards
Select and use personal protective equipment
Use the DOT Emergency Response Guidebook and NIOSH Pocket Guide to Chemical Hazards
