CITC 1316 - Game Scripting
Credit hours: 3
Course Description: This course introduces students to scripting languages used in the video game development industry. Students will learn the basic constructs of a scripting language and demonstrate their ability to use it in a meaningful way with projects. Also explored in this course ties between scripting languages and other languages such as C/C++.
Student Learning Outcomes: Students will be able to:
- Demonstrate understanding of scripting syntax and common applications.
- Demonstrate understanding of how to link the scripting API into another language such as C++.
- Demonstrate understanding of scripting tools and how they are used in an application.
- Demonstrate knowledge of proper script writing etiquette and commenting.
- Demonstrate knowledge of debugging and running script programs.
