Course Description:
This course covers how to install guys to support a utility pole, as well as how to install the equipment on the pole to support conductors. It includes the installation of cross-arms, transformers, and conductors.

Student Learning Outcomes:

Describe single-phase construction.
Identify the hardware used in aerial framing.
Using the standard manual, identify materials, assorted pole hardware, and support arms needed to perform aerial framing on a single-phase pole.
Describe, assemble, and install guys.
Perform an aerial framing procedure as defined by the instructor.
Hand-pull single-phase primary conductors, dead end, and sag.
Explain how to install a transformer and connect conductors.
