Course Description:
Understand the definition and history, benefits, guidelines and zones, referral and helper areas, contraindications, maps/charts, Western and Eastern approaches, reflexology research studies, reflexology terminology, and body mechanics and self-care.

Student Learning Outcomes:

Understand and define the history of reflexology

Recognize and explain the standards of practice for reflexology as well as the tools that are standard in a practice.

Understand and explain the scope of practice for reflexology.

Demonstrate the ability and proper care with regard to hygiene and sanitation dealing with standard precautions and the therapeutic environment for our profession.

Demonstrate the ability to use body mechanics to deliver the session without harming your body.
