Course Description:
Demonstrate the knowledge of ethics, standards of practice, policies, and procedures, state legislation and human trafficking, hygiene and sanitation practice, self-employment vs. working for someone else, goals and mission statements, business planning, marketing, professional organizations/associations, and HIPPA. 

Student Learning Outcomes:
  • Understand and demonstrate knowledge of the Reflexology Board Rules and Regulations for practice and for licensure. 

  • Demonstrate the ability to interview a client and then perform a reflexology session based on the client’s needs. 

  • Demonstrate the ability and proper care regarding hygiene and sanitation dealing with standard precautions and the therapeutic environment for our profession. 

  • Understand and explain the scope of practice for reflexology. 

  • Understand and explain what HIPPA covers. 

  • Create business cards, marketing plans, treatment list, price list, start-up cost sheet for self-employment, and state what your goal is in the field of reflexology. 

  • Understand where to find the professional organizations of our field.
