Course Description:
In this course students will be placed in a full-time or part-time work-based learning experience in a local facility and will work in the correctional setting. Students will focus on implementing their mastery skills in the workplace and positively contributing to the culture and operation of the local jail or correctional facility.

Student Learning Outcomes:

Demonstrate and understand the correct implementation of correctional facility operations.
Use appropriate communication skills to ask correctional officers questions and learn more about the hosting agency.
Demonstrate professionalism and communication skills in the correctional environment.
Demonstrate appropriate department / agency policy and procedures.
Complete reports and duties as assigned correctly.
