Course Description:
This course covers the foundational skills of safety, pre- and post-operation checks, site planning and layout, and operation of a trencher.

Student Learning Outcomes:
Students will be able to demonstrate knowledge of:

  3. Appropriate methods of excavation
  4. Soil Types
  5. Process of working around multiple utilities
  6. Job hazard Analysis (JHA’s) and maintenance checklists
