TNC 4050 - Capstone/Externship

This capstone course can be either a field experience such as an internship, or a project-based course.  The description will vary among students.

Student Learning Outcomes:

Students will be able to:

1. Understand, explain, design, and create a computer-based project in either an individual or team-based scenario.
2. Present and defend the outcomes of the computer-based project.
3. Attain experience in working to finish a project.
4. Manage a schedule and deliver a project within the required timeframe.
5. Identify common security threats and vulnerabilities.
6. Given a scenario, deploy and enforce security best practices to secure a workstation.
7. Perform common preventive maintenance procedures using the appropriate Windows OS tools.
8. Identify common features and functionality of the Mac OS and Linux operating systems.
9. Summarize the properties and purpose of services provided by networked hosts.
