Course Description: This course introduces the use of computer-aided design (CAD) software for creating 2D drawings and basic 3D solid models. Students will develop foundational and advanced skills in CAD, including terminology, design concepts, and application techniques. Emphasis is placed on constructing geometric shapes, creating and applying dimension styles, and using accurate dimensioning practices required as a multi-craft professional. Students will also learn to produce pictorial drawings, utilize standard components libraries, apply advanced plot styles, and generate basic solid models for engineering and design applications.
