Course Description:
In this course students will be placed in a full-time or part-time work-based learning experience in a local processing facility. Students will focus on implementing their mastery skills in the workplace and positively contributing to the culture and successful operation of a modern processing facility. 

Student Learning Outcomes:
  • Demonstrate and understand the correct implementation of processing facility operations. 

  • Use appropriate communication skills to work alongside meat processing professionals successfully. 

  • Demonstrate professionalism and communication skills in the processing and customer service environment. 

  • Demonstrate appropriate facility policy and procedures. 

  • Adhere to USDA guidelines. 

  • Complete reports and duties as assigned correctly.
