Course Description: This course introduces the student on how to use rules to build on terms used in the field.
Student Learning Outcomes: Course Competencies:
- Master pronunciation and spelling of medical terms in specific areas of medicine.
- Learn similarities and differences in definitions of key terms in specific areas of medicine.
- Recognize synonyms and abbreviations used in medical terminology.
- Learn prefixes and suffixes in order to determine the meaning of medical terms
- Learn how to work with a medical dictionary/thesaurus.
- Recognize and learn terms related to the :
