Industry Certifications Certified Production Technician (CPT) Safety certification issued from the Manufacturing Skill Standards Council (MSSC) upon completion of passed examination.
Course Description: This course is designed to prepare students for the Manufacturing Skill Standards Council’s (MSSC) Quality Certification Assessment. The course curriculum is based upon federally-endorsed national standards for production workers. Emphasis is on continuous improvement concepts and how they relate to a quality management system. Students will be introduced to a quality management system and its components. These include corrective actions, preventative actions, control of documents, control of quality records, internal auditing of processes, and control of non-conforming product.
The CPT program consists of five individual certificate modules: Safety; Quality Practices & Measurement; Manufacturing Processes & Production; Maintenance Awareness and Green Production. Candidates must earn the first four certificates to receive the full CPT certification. (Note: At this time Green Production is not required for full-CPT certification.)
