IMR 4200 - Heating
Clock Hours: 50
Delivery Mode on-ground
Course Description: Students are introduced to the principles of gas furnaces and the safe operation of normal combustion. Students will learn various components of modern gas furnaces and their function under normal conditions and abnormal conditions. Students must demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot gas furnaces for electrical and mechanical problems that commonly occur. Students will be able to perform lab evaluations on gas furnaces with various efficiency’s and ignition systems. Students will learn to identify dangerous operating conditions to prevent carbon monoxide poisoning and proper drafting of the vent systems.
