Course Description:
The goal of the course is to train students to be able to accurately install drain, waste and vent systems that will prepare them for entrance into the workforce.

Student Learning Outcomes:
Designing, Planning, and Installing DWV Systems

Describe the Installation and the Purpose and Different types of a DWV System.
Properly Install a DWV System.
Explain how waste moves from a fixture through the drain system to the environment.
Identify the major components of a drainage system and describe their functions.
Identify the different types of traps and their components, explain the importance of traps, and identify the ways that traps can lose their seals.
Identify significant code and health issues, violations, and consequences related to DWV systems.

Fixtures

Properly install various Plumbing Fixtures.
Identify the basic types of materials used in the manufacture of plumbing fixtures.
Identify common types of sinks, lavatories, and faucets.
Identify common types of bathtubs and showers.
Identify common types of toilets, urinals, and bidets.
Identify and describe common types of drinking fountains and water coolers.
Identify common types of appliances connected by a plumber.
