Course Description: This clinical experience provides the student with the opportunity to observe and practice the principles of infection control in a surgical setting as well as gain experience with specific anesthesia equipment. The student will observe, obtain and practice specific technical skills. Hands-on experience will provide technical skills and further understanding of the theories taught within the classroom.
Student Learning Outcomes: The successful learner will be able to:
- Demonstrate clinical application of basic skills acquired from didactic coursework in the patient care setting.
- Follow standards of practice of infection control in a surgical setting.
