IAM 2020 - Motor Control Methods
Clock Hours: 72
Prerequisites: IAM 2010
Course Description: The students will receive instruction in low-voltage control methods currently used in industrial and commercial settings.
Student Learning Outcomes: Students will be able to demonstrate knowledge of:
- Read, interpret and follow the motor’s nameplate.
- Wire 2-wire and 3-wire manual control for a 3 phase motor.
- Wire 2-wire and 3-wire manual control for a 1 phase motor.
- Install and wire remote stop/start control stations.
- Install and wire an HOA Control station.
- Wire a Forward/Reverse/Stop Control Station.
