Program Description:

The Automotive Service Technology program is dedicated to equipping students with a comprehensive understanding of the design, construction, and operational principles of automotive systems and their integration within the modern automobile.

This program encompasses eight key instructional areas, as recognized by the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE). Each area combines classroom-based learning with practical training, beginning with simulated vehicle systems and progressing to hands-on experience with live vehicle diagnostics and repairs.

Students systematically advance through each instructional area, mastering the essential skills required of professional automotive technicians. Upon successful completion of the program, graduates will possess the expertise necessary to perform industry-standard procedures and will be well-prepared to sit for the ASE certification exams.

Program Outcomes:

· Equip students with the technical skills and knowledge required for entry into the automotive repair industry.

· Prepare students to successfully complete the ASE certification exams, enhancing their professional credentials.

· Foster a commitment to ethical and professional conduct, ensuring long-term success in diverse automotive careers.

Professional Accrediting Body:

The ASE Education Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the quality of automotive service education. It works in partnership with industry professionals, educators, and students to ensure that automotive training programs meet industry standards and effectively prepare students for careers in the automotive service field.
