Course Description:
An introductory course into the application of basic metal working machine tools in used in industry.
Student Learning Outcomes:
Students will be able to:
- Describe the safety precautions observed in modern machine shops.
- Safely operate common metalworking machine tools.
- Explain cutting speeds and calculate spindle speeds and feed rates.
