Course Description:
Students will understand multiple types of 3D printing and utilize 3D printing for rapid prototyping and reverse engineering.

Student Learning Outcomes:
  • The student will understand and demonstrate FDM 3D printing
  • The student will understand and demonstrate DLP 3D printing
  • The student will understand material selection for 3D printing
  • The student will understand design considerations for multiple methods of 3D printing
  • The student will demonstrate understanding of methods used in industrial 3D printing
  • The student will demonstrate 3D printing for rapid prototyping
  • The student will demonstrate 3D printing for reverse engineering
  • The student will be able to explain the pros and cons of different methods of 3D printing and compare these methods to traditional manufacturing
  • The student will demonstrate understanding of design for additive manufacturing
