Course Description:
This course provides basic instruction in the normal class routine on NCCER Core through reading assignments, testing, practical application, demonstration, and lectures. 
 

Student Learning Outcomes:
Course Competencies: 

  • Identify Hand/Power Tools 

  • Learn how to use a multimeter. (magnetism, relays, voltage measurements, current measurements, and resistance measurements) 

  • Learn terms, components,  and symbols associated with Construction Drawings 

  • Be able to identify and use rigging hardware such as slings, rigging hitches, and hoists. 

  • Provides hazards associated with handling materials and provides techniques to avoid both injury and property damage.  

  • Be able to identify common material handling equipment
