Course Description:
Demonstrate the ability to convey important health related information, understand the importance of HIPAA regulations, and create a SOAP note from the subjective, Objective, Analysis, and Planning discussed prior to, during, and after a massage.   

Student Learning Outcomes:
  1. Demonstrate the ability to convey important health related information, understand the importance of HIPAA regulations, and create a SOAP note from the subjective, Objective, Analysis, and Planning discussed prior to, during, and after a massage.  (CSLO 21) 

  2. Demonstrate the ability to listen to and chart important information that the client is describing in the Subjective section of the SOAP note. 

  3. Demonstrate the ability to remember what they found during the massage about the body and any issues with ROM, or muscle tension, being able to answer the “what and where” about those findings. 

  4. Demonstrate the ability to analyze what is happening with their client’s muscles and show what they did to come to the conclusions that are drawn with supportive information. 

  5. Demonstrate the ability to plan visits in such a way that the client is part of this plan and clearly know the steps that will be taken to get there. 

  6. Complete the date and client information in a way that protects the information in accordance with HIPAA Standards. 

  7. The students will demonstrate good time management skills by turning their SOAP Notes in each day they give a massage on the day that the massage was completed and no later
