Course Description:
Under the supervision of the instructor / preceptor, the student shall have satisfactorily demonstrated the following skills.

Student Learning Outcomes:

  1. Tourniquet application 

  1. Equipment selection 

  1. Cleansing technique 

  1. Demonstrate proper use of 

    1. Syringe 
    2. Butterfly 
    3. Evacuated collection system (i.e. vacutainer) 
    4. Microtainer 
    5. Lancet 
    6. Perform venipuncture 
    7. Perform dermal puncture 
    8. Specimen labeling 
    9. Post care
