ENST 1335 - 3D Civil Fundamentals
Credit hours: 3
Prerequisites: ENST 1331 - 2-D CAD Residential Design
Course Description: This course introduces the student to the Civil 3D software used by many land planning, civil engineering and surveying firms. Topics include software commands, project setup and the design process. site plans, roads and corridors, piping and drainage systems, and other plans for civil engineering projects.
Student Learning Outcomes: Students will be able to:
- Create points and point groups and work with survey figures.
- Create sites, profiles, and cross-sections.
- Create assemblies, corridors, and intersections.
- Create grading solutions.
- Create gravity-fed and pressure pipe networks.
- Create a Civil 3D template drawing.
- Add appurtenances to pressure pipe networks.
- Perform quantity takeoff and volume calculations.
