Course Description:
Upon completion, the student will understand the basic operation of a refrigeration system. The student will also study for and take the EPA 608 Universal examination in order to receive a certification related to the safe and legal handling of refrigerants.

Student Learning Outcomes:
  1. Demonstrate the knowledge of material and EPA regulations covering the EPA 608 Core, Type I, Type II and Type III systems.
  2. Sit for a proctored exam over Core, Type I, Type II, and Type III systems and score a passing grade and obtain a 608 Universal EPA Certification.
