Prerequisites: IMG 2020, Motors and Motor Control Systems
Course Description: This course teaches students how to set up and operate welding and cutting equipment, including practice with a virtual welder. It covers the essential components of preparing a weld and executing various welding techniques, specifically focusing on arc, MIG, and TIG welding. Students learn the four basic steps for each welding type: striking the arc, moving the arc to create a bead, shaping the weld bead, and cleaning the weld between passes. The course aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of welding processes and techniques.
Student Learning Outcomes:
