IAM 1035 - Supervised Work I Term I

Prerequisites: IAM 1010
Course Description: Under an approved work-based learning (WBL) agreement with a participating industry, apprentice will perform the daily work of an industrial maintenance technician. Field experiences are supervised and evaluated by an experienced industrial maintenance technician. Requires monthly evaluations of students along with check sheets showing mastery of first trimester apprentice course competencies. Field experiences are concurrent with instruction.
Student Learning Outcomes: Students will be able to demonstrate knowledge of:
- Perform all work of an industrial maintenance apprentice in a safe manner
- Demonstrate a willingness to continue training in the program by attending the didactic portion of the program
