The CNC Manufacturing program is designed to provide the student with the ability to work as a CNC machine operator, machinist, tool and die maker, industrial maintenance machinist and those in related occupations that require skill in CNC machinery including the ability to interpret part prints and use precision measuring tools.  

Program Outcomes: At the completion of the CNC Manufacturing program, graduates will be able to write programs and choose tooling sufficient to complete the machining process for CNC machine tools such as vertical and horizontal machining centers, turning centers, electrical discharge machines and 3D Printing operations. Students will be able to interpret part prints and use computer aided drafting, computer aided manufacturing, and solid modeling software. Students will be proficient in related math operations and will be trained in safe operating practices compliant with OSHA and related safety regulatory agencies.

State Agency/Entity Oversight: Tennessee Board of Regents; Tennessee Higher Education Commission.
