Program Description: The Nutrition and Foodservice Professional program at TN College of Applied Technology - Elizabethton is designed for maximum student success. The program goals are aligned with the mission and purpose of the institution. Through coursework, PowerPoint’s, and field training tasks, the student will learn the day-to-day operations of being a dietary manager. The length of the program and the coursework are designed to allow for mastery completion of course objectives and prepare the student for the ANFP certification exam. 

 

Program Outcomes: At the completion of the certificates in the Online Nutrition and Foodservice Training program, the graduate will be able to: 

  • Sit for the Certification Exam 

  • Upon passing the exam, become a CDM (Certified Dietary Manager) and CFPP (Certified Food Protection Professional) 

  • Manage work teams 

  • Apply nutrition principles 

  • Document nutritional information 

  • Foodservice purchasing 

  • Implement menus 

  • Food preparation 

 

Professional Accrediting Body: Association of Nutrition and Foodservice Professionals (ANFP)
